KDN Films
is a television, web and documentary content creation and production company. We produce projects all over the map: museum films, web video, documentary films, TV programs and commercials. The company resources are deep, comprised of a mix of film and TV people, with different interests and skills, who throw themselves into everything they do and consistently produce interesting work.

bill kubota
Bill is a founding partner of KDN Videoworks in Detroit—the parent company of KDN Films. He has received numerous awards for television news producing and has earned the reputation as one of the Midwest’s most respected television news producers and video photographers. His work has appeared on such programs as NBC Dateline, ABC World News Tonight and PBS Frontline. Bill also co-founded Uplynx, Inc., a satellite up-linking company based in Detroit delivering live television all over the country.

In 1988, Bill founded KDN with the intention to produce documentary projects. By 2002, KDN launched its first documentary project: the award winning, Lustron – The House America’s Been Waiting For. In 2007 Bill's documentary Most Honorable Son aired on national PBS.

Scott Kemp
Scott got his feet wet as a story editor in Los Angeles before returning to Detroit to work on spots and corporate films. His passion lies in storytelling which brought him to KDN, where he could produce and edit diverse projects using his unique skills.
